Why Tallow?

If the idea of rubbing what is essentially rendered beef fat on your face strikes you as odd upon first thought we can assure you that you’re not alone!  That being said we have full confidence that once you’ve tried Black Mountain Organics Grass-Fed Tallow Face Balm any reservations you may have had will quickly dissipate as the nourishing and rich cream soothes your every skin cell providing you with a transcending moisturizing experience unlike you’ve ever had before!

Tallow is an intense, all-day moisturizer, which is why its been employed traditionally for thousands of years.  It does not clog pores, nor does it leave the skin feeling greasy.  It penetrates deeply, preventing dryness on a cellular level keeping the skin looking fresh, healthy and hydrated.

Nutritionally dense?  Check!  Our Grass-Fed Tallow Face Balm is packed full of vitamins A, D, E and K along with large amounts of Conjugated Linoleic Acids (CLAs) that your skin loves!  We kick this up even further by adding additional naturally derived vitamin D3 and E, we like to think of it as "Super Tallow”!

Vitamin A is a free radical fighting antioxidant.  It provides protection against environmental damage, decreases inflammation (an underlining factor in acne vulgaris), increases skin cell growth and evens skin tone.

Vitamin D3, when applied topically, exerts a protective effect, restoring vibrancy to skin.  It also plays a significant role in thwarting opportunistic infections.

Vitamin E has been shown to prevent the breakdown of collagen and lipid peroxidation, both of which are linked to skin aging.  Furthermore it improves the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and has been shown to speed up the healing time of scar tissue.

Vitamin K strengthens the skin's natural barrier function, enabling it to grow stronger and retain hydration longer.  Additionally its shown benefit for conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.

CLAs, posses strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties which provides for deep nourishment and rejuvenation.

Finally tallow and sebrum (the oil in our skin) share many of the same lipids (fats) and in similar concentrations.  Due to this tallow effortlessly penetrates far down, moisturizing and healing the epidermal as well as the dermal layer of skin.

Still not convinced that our Grass-Fed Tallow Face Balm is the absolute best cream you can be applying to your skin?  We know you will be after trying it!
